Need to Get Away?!

We are in the season where short weekend trips are popular and with that, comes the desire to have clothing that is comfortable and fashionable and allows you to mix-and-match without having to pack a lot of items.  Let’s look at some ideas that might tease you into sewing up that quick little mini-wardrobe.

Take Off and Landing
Romp it up!  Or down!   Great for traveling to and from your destination!  Use Ecru/Black Palm Leaves Rayon Crepe or Mustard/Daisy Rayon Crepe for a chic jumpsuit.
Or a shorter version using the same Butterick 6330 in one of the many rayon matte jerseys available such as the Everglade Floral Rayon Matte Jersey.

Shopping or Sightseeing
McCall’s 7605 works for versatile pieces using Island Hues Rayon Matte Jersey for the pants and White or Cobalt Rayon Jersey Knit for a flirty and fashionable top.

Look at McCall’s 7591 to make a maxi dress using solid rayon jersey knits like Kelly Green or Navy.  It can also be worn as a cover-up at the beach!
