Vogue 2894

45"
100% Silk Dupioni (fuchsia/purple iridescent)
$15.00
(out of stock, but can be reordered)

Prewash: No pretreament for the dupioni.  The satin lining for the jacket was washed in my machine on delicate, short cycle with Tide HE.

Notions: Gutermann thread, Seams Great, and lace hem tape

Alterations: No pattern alterations were necessary (Praise the Lord!!!)  Not a normal happening!

Construction Details:  Jacket- Love, Love, Love the darts in the sleeve for tapering the sleeve cap.

Pocket Detail

Flattering Collar

Satin Lining

Skirt-There is no zipper.  The opening is in the left pocket.  This allows extra ease to get in and out.

Pleats

Back View

There was enough fabric for pants!

Conclusion:  I will be making this pattern again in a beautiful black wool crepe.

Thank you Liz and great job!  You looked fabulous in this outfit at the Christmas party.  I am also checking out your coordinating shoes!
