Sewing Tip: Don't fudge on fit when using stretch cottons. Treat them like non-stretch cottons and use the same amount of wearing ease.

This is a lovely white dotted swiss cotton batiste with leno weave stripes. The double stripes are 3/8" apart and the repeat between a set of double stripes is 1 1/8". Great spring/summer blouse, dress or lingerie.

Animal prints are still strong for spring 2009. This is a mid weight cotton sateen print in bark and white. A pencil skirt or an embellished sheath dress would look great in this print. Wear a jacket made from the solid bark or white cotton sateen to complete the look.
