Early Fall Fabrics 2007

94% Rayon 6% Spandex
Designer--Nicole Miller

These knit fabrics are as soft as butta! You'll be fashionably dressed but feel like you're wearing pj's. Both fabrics are 2-way stretch jerseys, very light weight and drapey. Perfect for fashions with soft gathers or pleats. Machine wash cold, delicate cycle, dry flat.

100% Silk

Designer--Dana Buchman
(color lightened to see details - true color in pictures below)

This is a denim upgrade! Mid weight and malleable, this denim feels like a heavy weight silk noil. Don't really want to make a pair of traditional jeans? Then use your favorite pant pattern and make a pair of denim trousers.

Sewing Tips: Use a Schmetz 1792 topstitching needle for even, smooth topstitching. The fabric becomes drapier if prewashed in cold water/dry on perma-press cycle. There was minimal shrinkage. I would dry clean after first washing to maintain the color.
